Energy saving???

Most work places nowadays are lighted regardless of the hour of the day. I don't see how we are saving energy. Just sticking to one time would be less stressful without everybody's body clock to be adjusted twice a year.

Changing what is not ours to change

I have read Old Testament scripture, Daniel 7:25-27. I have also read that God said in Job 41:11 (KJV) "...whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine." Time belongs to God, man needs to put it back, leave it alone and reverence the Almighty who hath given it unto him. My sincere opinion and thought that I would do some sharing. :) xoxoxoxo

abolish 2

As far as I can tell, no energy savings. People still use as much energy all year round. We all need to switch to more energy efficent light bulbs and appliances. That would save more energy than the stupid DST.

Extra hour to Drink! LOL

I use to attend a Halloween party called the Monster Mash Bash. It was an excuse to drink alcohol an extra hour. Kind of a funny way to remember Daylight savings every year. Also was a fun way to dress up in costume twice in one week:D

Senior Citizen

I think it's time to stop this annual dum clock change. Let's change all clocks 30 moments and never change them again.

i don't know what this is

I hate daylight saving time - i wish whoever thought this up would stop it - maybe the new governor of PA will stop it for Pennsylvania

Time to Abolish

Our government thinks they can control the sun, great. It it confusing for little children who have to go to bed when the sun is up. This year it is way too long. Let's abolish the whole thing. No one has yet proved that it saves fuel or energy. All I know is, it is dark when I get up in the morning and I'd rather have the morning light then some extra light in the evening.

Saving or savings

It is savings because it is multiple hours per year you are saving. I think playing with the clock is silly. More government intrusion in our lives.

takes too much time to change time!

I agree with the last response- turn it 1/2 hour way or the other and stop this silliness. There are so many devices that need to be changed-some of which are not so easy to do.- I promise that I will vote for ANY politician that can relieve us of this totally STUPID task.

Old Indian

I heard this as attributed to an old indian chief, but wherever it came from, it says it all: Only a white man would cut a foot off the end of a blanket, sew it on the other end and claim he had a bigger blanket.

Arizona

I moved to AZ from MA 10 yrs ago, and LOVE that we don't observe DST. It does get confusing here too, though, in knowing what time it is back east so I don't call my sister too early or too late. Seems to me they could abolish it, and it wouldn't make a difference anymore. I don't see how energy is being saved at all. This is just big government imposing silly rules....again.

For Goodness Sakes

Good gosh get real just leave the darn time alone. We have enough confusion anyway.

Brad

Just another ridiculous attempt by governments to fix a "problem" that never existed. What is the difference if you turn on your lights to get up early in the morning, or you turn on your lights to stay awake after its dark. Leave us alone! Quit meddling! If you need something to do to make yourself feel useful, spend your career trying to repeal some of the OTHER useless laws and regulations.

DST Causes traffic jam

I noticed that when the time move back one hour in November the evening traffic turns impossible. People get very confused, they seems to go slower creating traffic to back up. However, I agree with the person who mentioned the idea of just moving the clock half hour and just leave it like that, no more adjustments to do, no more confusion.

No more time changes

Please tell me who the people are who extended the time change & why?? The days in Oct are shorter!! There us no sunlight to use in the evenings!! I would like to know how much 'energy' is lost in people losing that hour in the morning? How job efficiency is effected? How if effects our bodies having to adjust - now every 5 months to such a change? Does it really save energy & why do we need to 'have the extra hour'- when it stays light longer- you won't use electricity as much any way! I like my hour in the morning, so please give it back!!!!
