If My Town Knows, So Do The Feds
- Every single year, my town sends out a census form. It contains my name, my occupation, my address...even how many dogs I own. I fill out nothing. Just sign and return. The Federal Census form gives the impression that this information is somehow "top secret" and the government would be helpless to obtain it without my response. By the way...I'm not even sure where my response (head count and names only) is going. The return address for the form is a bar code!!! How's that for transparency in government?

- I understand that the only requirement is to complete the number of people in the household, and that is all I am going to give them. No name, no race, no age, no info about my mortgage or lack thereof. I am sick of the federal government.

- the original purpose if the census is to properly have the correct number of house of representative members in ratio to the population of each state. any information other than that is unnecessary and agreed, none of their business. i dont think a fine should be enforced for imformation the public believe should remain private. It seems lately that what the american people want has been totally avoided rather than atleast considered and its getting disrespectful considering we pay them not the other way around.

- Yes, but name and number of residents only. I got it today 3/15/10, but to be accurate it wants a count as of 4/1/10. If I mail it back now should I include a note that I will notify them if I pass away before 4/1/10? Smile.

- I will not fill it out.I am fed up with the gradual slide of more and more laws and as a probation officer working in law and order I have finally come to realize that the the states and the federal goverment have begun to stretch my limits of tolerence and as a result this will be the first time mine goes in the trash.If they want to fine me or put me on probation they can.I am joing the Tea Party.

Government Needs to budget their $Better
- I have never filled out the census in any form and will not again this year. It is clearly none of their business. The government needs to live within their budgets anyways. The American public has learned to do that, when will the government learn to cutback (their own pockets). When the census taker steps foot on my property, they will be asked to leave as they are trespassing.
