Not that difficult...

Article I, Section II, Clause III of the US Constitution clearly states that the enumeration of the people shall be carried out by means of laws that the Congress shall enact. Since the Congress has put the questions that it has on the questionnaire, it is Constitutionally mandated. Or have you all lost the ability to cross-reference legal information?

He knocks on the door, then leaves , He returned to harass me, i can watch him via a camera. ....On 05/23 I washed the car, and go inside and get ready, I spot him parking & walking to the door & knocking on it, Im not answering it ! he wanders back, tries again and Left a note ..(LOL) 15 minutes later, he's back, i close the garage door & get into the car, he is standing there & claims he's from the Census .... --I said " ID, RIGHT NOW " Uhh, I have my drivers Lic ... --I said " NO, I want (2) picture IDs " Uhhh, I have this...pointing to the Census ID... --I said " No Good, that ID looks fake." I leave smoking the tires, go around the block and see him @ the stop sign , I Fly past him and go back to my house...He follows me back. I'm already down the street and nowhere near the house when he gets there. LOL ! Why follow me, he was stalking me & harassing me.

I've reached my limit...

Months ago I reached my limit with governmental interference and its blatant excesses of power. The questions on the Census and my subsequent refusal to answer are understandable minor issues. What is not minor, however, is that the Constitution must be followed to the letter. It is my duty, as is every other citizen, to see it done. I am a free man and a red-blooded American Citizen of 7 generations. I refuse to be subordinate to a Government who refuses to be subordinate to the Constitution.

nrfu enumerator census worker

regular 4/1 form has only 10 questions, does not ask where people sleep. I have a problem with the long form coming from Indiana very invasive and we do make 15.00 per hour and mileage

Disrespectful

Census lady showed up at my door 10 minutes after I returned from a hiking/camping trip. First thing I did when I came home was shower off, and answered the door (continous knocking/ringing) in dripping wet hair, bath robe, and two dogs barking behind me. Told her now is not a good time, she continued in total disregard to my needs so I asked her to leave and told her I won't participate in-person like this. Tried calling it in, will see what happens. Would be nice to do this online, when I have time, and the data would feed directly into the databases. My PC may crash on occassion, but it doesn't outright disrespect me.

Ever hear of a Social Security Number?

You know the government already has your DOB, right? And the state has your address from your DL (and don't think the US Gov't doesn't have access to that). To be honest, I'm not even sure why they bother with the census. All the data is already out there. Just ask Google...

being stocked

the census taker arrived at my house after i showered, my hair was dripping in my face, i asked him to come back on weekend, he would not leave, kept asking questins, i closed the door, on Friday he was parked in front of my house when i got home, i told him i was in a hurry and was rushing for a appointment, he kept following to the door, he stayed parked in front of my house till i left for my appointment, i'm being stalked and will file a complaint with police if he keeps it up. all he had to do was come back on weekend but he has pissed me off now so i will not talk to him

Was threaten they would be back with cop

I put down the number of people in my home. Lady came, gave her the required count only.Few days later, guy came out.He told me no,that all the questions were required by law and not just the count.I asked him why does it matter if I am Spanish or not.He said because if the population was full of Hispanics, they would know rather to teach Spanish to the kids in the school or not.I said, or to just cut that question out, just teach English and all the population of Hispanics can learn English.I asked if I have all girls how does that matter,he said because if I have all girls they are going to need to go to a female doctor for their check up and this would help to know how many female doctors to put out here.I told him that's crazy,I could just drive to where my doctor is.I summed it up for him.I gave him the total of people in my home. All other questions are to change our country for the Spanish or to make our area more government depended.I don't believe that is our fore fathers wishing.

census

I filled mine out completely and sent it and a census worker STILL came. I sent him away, this is ridiculous (and this has nothing to do with Obama, it's every ten years so you Obama haters should leave him out of it). I dont feel like giving out my info to a stranger, especially when I already sent it in.

I am being harrassed!

I never received my form. I wanted to fill it out but, they wouldn't send out a new one until some date. So, I called on that date and they sent me one. I got it 3 days later, completed it and mailed it back immediataly! I have been visited by 2 different workers and called! I told them I did my duty and to leave me the heck alone!

not sams business

The government used the census back in 1941 to round up Japanese AMERICANS and ship them to internment camps.Do you really trust these people? If so you are foolish.
—Guest r keo

how weak are we? let's take a census

Maybe this is a great way to test the wind of the american people and see how compliant they are. Just a small test with a census every 10 years, to see if the government can further restrict citizen's rights. I would love to find out how many people actually complied. Thank God for those standing up to nosy government!

filled out with limited answers

We shredded our census form and as expected, received numerous visits from a census taker. Finally, after reading this page and seeing what others are doing, decided to end the battle and called the census taker (who left his name and phone number on his calling card). I told him only number of residents and ages. I had a friendly chat with him and he agreed (or said he did) that the census is only good for "congressional reprentation and geneological purposes". He said he did this because they "pay well" and mentioned people had slammed doors in his face, etc., which probably accounts for why he was so pleasant on the phone. Does anyone care, 72 years from now, that people will know they lived there? Anyways, I did a search and found out this guy makes $15/hr. So, a good reason to join Big Brother and harass your neighbors! They sure have the money to pay well to find out all about you.

Just say no!

We filled out how many people are in our home and mailed it back in by 4/1/10. The census worker came last week and we sent him (nicely) on his way. He came back today with our names on the form. We left it at that and sent him on his way again... Will he be back??? And to a previous poster - we have NEVER answered more than how many are in our home - it doesn't matter who the president is, it's still NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS.
