Kohtla-Järve, Estonia

Kohtla-Järve is a small town in North-East Estonia, near the border with Russia. A lot of Russian people live here, so it doesn't feel like Estonia at all, feels more like Russia. The good thing about the town is that the coastline is near (Gulf of Finland), with a beach and a national park. Also there are really a lot of forests, so most of us go skiing in winter. The bad thing is that the air is polluted, because there are a lot of working mines and quarries, and the traffic is heavy due to the fact that the town lies on the Tallinn-Saint-Peterburg highway. Nevertheless, I like this town, but I would like to move somewhere South in the next couple of years.

Las Vegas

The surrounding mountains and expansive sky with unrelenting weather remind me that there are far greater things out there. The desert landscape and Red Rock Canyon are absolutely beautiful - there's no where else like it. And a city that truly Never sleeps :)

Corona, California

We are located midway between the resort areas of snow-capped mountains, desert golf courses, and sandy beaches. For night life, we are halfway between Los Angeles and beautiful San Diego. We have sunshine over 300 days a year. Life is great!

Bayamón, Puerto Rico

I live in Bayamón, PR. Over here we call it "science town" or "la ciudad del chicarrón". What I love the most about it is that even though I live in a 'suburb', no matter where I go at any time there will be a lot of people, just like in a big city. Another thing I find absolutely interesting and fun is that everyone seems to be linked to everyone somehow; you meet people that know other people that know your cousin or someone very close to you and so on and its like, in some way, we all know each other. When it comes to the whole island, I guess I have to say that I definitely love the fact that its relatively small yet there's a big variety of landscapes and cultures. It's just fun to live here, no matter where you go you always have a good time and there's always something new and interesting to go see.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

I love San Juan because I consider it one of the beautiful cities in the Caribbean. The Spanish heritage combined with the new modern buildings give you an unique experience. The people is extremely friendly and happy. It is a complete city -- beaches, night life, casinos, shopping malls, and great cuisine. If you go in summer there is a lot. Summer beach festivals and in Christmas is awesome, you find a party in every house!!!

Summerland, California

The beach. since I moved to Summerland 3 months ago I have been on the beach almost everyday. I doesn't hurt that it's only a 2 minute walk form my home.

San Antonio, Texas

As a resident of San Antonio I feel like a tourist in my own hometown. The city is predominantly Hispanic and I love its Latin ambiance. I enjoy going downtown to visit the Riverwalk and the historic sights--like the Alamo, the Cathedral, and the Tower of the Americas. Like the tourists, I enjoy a boat ride along the winding San Antonio River. A walk along the Riverwalk is enjoyable as one listens to the sounds of Jazz and Latin music, and smell the aromas of the restaurants that line the river. Christmas time is a special time along the Riverwalk because of the Christmas lights that adorn the cypress trees and reflect from the river. The chain of missions established by the Spaniards over two hundred and fifty years ago gives the city a Spanish atmosphere. Finally, there is the beautiful Hill Country of Texas that borders the northern fringes of the city. This beautiful scenery coupled with the mild climate makes San Antonio a unique place to live in the world.

Why I Love Dallas

I travel every day of the year to both coasts and overseas... able to reach most of the USA in three hours or less. Secondly, have a sizable piece of property close to the airport to work outside and enjoy the warm Texas sun!

Ghent, Belgium

My hometown is Ghent, Belgium. The center dates from the middle ages, contains houses of many centuries old that are well preserved, and we are proud of our Gravensteen, one of the oldest stone castles of Europe. And it's a living town, young people love to gather on a quai along the river Lys (Leie in Flemish), in weekends there are several lively markets. I'm happy to live in this beautiful town that breaths history and that people come to visit from all over the world.

Horsell, Surrey, UK

"Gentleness" sums up my village. A gentleness of people. A gentleness of its facilities and institutions developed throughout its pre-Domesday Book history. A gentleness of peace away from even the nearby larger town. A gentleness of climate due to its geographical 'micro-climate' siting.

Luxembourg

The great thing about Luxembourg is that is small, easily managed and although there are less than 500.000 inhabitants in the country, we have a vast variety of nationalities, traditions and all that these people bring along for us to discover.

San Jose, California - Climate and Jobs

San Jose is my choice where to live. The climate is just right, not too hot not too cold. With only a moderate amount of rain, though California could use a few years of floods. And San Jose, until recently, has had plenty of jobs and was not affected by past economic down turns. And for entertainment and education, San Jose and the San Francisco bay area has everything. And for those crazies who like snow, it's only a short drive away.

Cairo, Egypt

although the many negativities in my home town I think the people here and their hospitality are the main aspect of why cairo is so special and why I love it!!!

Sunshine Coast Australia

As you know Australia is rated as one of the best places on earth to live. The Sunshine Coast has the best of Australia, warm gentle sub-tropical climate, beaches, rolling lush green country-side, parks and only an hour from Brisbane.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

I love Philadelphia because of the incomparable richness of its history. Not just the 1776 stuff that everyone knows - every neighborhood has its own story, and every period of history has left its stamp. The past is everywhere on display, and the farther you venture, the more you'll find.
