SCO - The Shanghai Cooperation Organization

Definition: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a mutli-national defensive organization that includes China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The countries were formerly known as the Shanghai Five, which excluded Uzbekistan, from its founding in 1996 through 2001.
Examples:
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization includes several large, often-marginalized countries of Asia.
