Rainforest

Definition: An extremely moist region with dense vegetation, typically located in the tropics and thus known as a tropical rainforest. Typically, the minimum rainfall amount required for a rainforest is about 200 centimeters (78 inches) or more of annual precipitation.

Examples:
Rainforests can also exist outside the tropics and temperate rain forests can also exhibit similar biodiversity of plants and animals as tropical rainforests.
