Europe is one of the world's continents and as such it occupies a large area of the world. It varies in latitude from places like Greece which is in the range of about 35˚N to 39˚N latitude to Iceland which ranges from around 64˚N to over 66˚N. As such Europe has varying climates, topography and city-types.


Europe is made up of 45 different countries which range in size from some of the largest in the world to some of the smallest. The following is a list of the countries of Europe arranged by area.
