329 Central Avenue - Vacant Ice Cream Parlor

Now a vacant storefront, this building was originally the Sweet Shop and was built in 1929. The Sweet Shop served soft drinks and ice cream. Later it became the La Fondita Bakery, which vacated this building to move to larger quarters at 323. The City of Fillmore is trying to rent the building as an ice cream shop so that the town will become a more popular tourist destination.
