Megaregions are the new megalopolises and an project called America 2050 has identified eleven U.S. megaregions that are set to be the focus of population and economic growth in the United States in the coming decades. Jordan Fisher has written an article about megaregions in general and has focused on five within the United States. Here is a list of all of the emerging megaregions in the U.S.: Arizona Sun Corridor, Cascadia, Florida, Front Range, Great Lakes, Gulf Coast, Northeast, Northern California, Piedmont Atlantic, Southern California, and Texas Triangle.
