Recreational Geography

I'm pleased to introduce Jessica Rosier, a geographer, interpretive naturalist, and new contributing writer for Geography at About.com. Her first article is a great overview of recreational geography. Recreational geography is the study of how, where, and why people participate in recreation. Recreational geography takes many forms, from hiking a trail to canoeing a chain of lakes.
