Just last year, Nicaragua violated Costa Rica's sovereignty with a move by the military across the border blamed on Google Maps. Now, Nicaragua is suing Costa Rica in the International Court of Justice over Costa Rica's construction of a a road along the banks of the San Juan River. Nicaragua contends that the construction of the road will have serious impacts on Nicaragua's ecosystem. In 2009 the two countries were also at The Hague to settle a dispute over navigation at the mouth of the river. More about Nicaragua and Costa Rica are available here on my site.
