On Friday, the Council of Ministers of the world's newest country, South Sudan, approved a move of the new country's capital city from the initial temporary capital of Juba to Ramciel. Ramciel is located north of Juba and is closer to the center of the country. The new capital of Ramciel will be a located within an independent capital territory not part of the surrounding Lake State. It is expected that the move will take approximately five years to complete. Ramciel is known to be a small village and current population figures seem not to be readily available. South Sudan's move is the latest addition to an ever-growing list of capital city relocations.
