BabyThe History Channel tackles the decades-old myth that nine months following a major power outage or natural disaster, there is a mini-baby-boom due to the increased romantic coupling that takes place following such an event. The bottom line is that the increase (or decrease) isn't all that dramatic but the whole article is definitely worth reading. The term baby boom was coined in reference to the increase in population in the United States following the Second World War.
