Forbes provides this phenomenal interactive county-level map of migration within the United States. Click on a county to see the extent of in-migration (black lines) and out-migration (red line) from and to other counties in the United States based on 2008 data from the IRS. Especially dramatic are the emigration from the northeastern industrial belt to the sunbelt although Los Angeles is seeing a significant amount of flight.
