India: More Have Access to Cell Phones Than Sanitation

A new study from the United Nations University-Institute for Water, Environment and Health reveals that while 45% of India's population have access to cellular phones, only 31% of that country's population have access to adequate sanitation. In India in 2008 there were 545 million mobile phones but only about 366 million people had access to improved sanitation.
