Strong 2010 Hurricane Season Forecast

Colorado State University forecasters released their 2010 Atlantic hurricane season forecast on Wednesday, predicting that it will be an above-average season. Forecasters William Gray and Phil Klotzbach predict fifteen named storms which will include eight hurricanes. They predict that four of the eight hurricanes will strengthen to major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher). The 2010 Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1.
