The Population Reference Bureau has published a new bulletin titled U.S. Economic and Social Trends Since 2000. As part of the report, they present ten key findings about the U.S. population since 2010. They report on the impact of the economy on population growth and fertility rates, the growing poverty gap, delayed marriage, and out-migration (especially from Michigan).

The first two “findings” are laughable:
“1.The recession has had wide-ranging effects on the U.S. population and society.
2.In some cases, these are long-term trends that preceded the recession, while other trends may be short-term adaptations to the economic crisis.”
If these are “key findings”, their grant money needs to be returned.
