Abkhasia and South Ossetia are worlds newest countries. Kosovo is still part of Serbia according to UN.

Darryl,
The UN does not recongize countries. 62 states (and Republic of China) out of 195 recognize Kosovo as independent. That’s about 32%. Not bad but not universal recognition yet. The only countries that recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia are Russia and Nicaragua (plus Transnitria). That’s about 1.03%. It is hard to say Akbhazia and South Ossetia are free and Kosovo is not.

Kosova is independent, like it or not :) .
It doesn’t really matter if not all UN states have recognised it cuz in near future all will.
As we know this goes step by step. Anyways the strongest states in the world have recognise Kosova.
Plus…we feel independent (free) over here and thats what it matters really. :)

Why “country Kosovo” exist? I don’t know.
Albanians are in Kosovo but there is country Albania for Albanians.
It’s like Germans start to emigrate to Paris and than there is new country Paris.
Probably foreign interest.
