High Food Prices Increase World Hunger

The director of the United Nations World Food Program announced that during the first half of 2009, 105 million people joined the ranks of those who are hungry thanks to higher food prices. The total number of hungry people on the planet is now more than a billion, with more than four million people being added to this devastating number each week.
