The humor parody publication The Onion has a new story titled G-175 Nations Convene To Discuss How Things Can't Possibly Be Any Worse. From the story: "In a hotel ballroom eight miles outside Zimbabwe's capital city, representatives from the world's 175 least powerful nations met this week to discuss how everything—from political unrest, to insurmountable debt, to bloody social strife—can't get any worse." I'm so pleased that they are accurate on the number of countries in the world.

The UN, the specilaised agencies for Health both international and National have responded with proactive and preventive strategies to stem the tide of a possible pandemic.
The total number of persons that have been proven to have died from HiNi is far less than the daily death toll from all the conflicts arund the world. When is the worlds collective conscience likely to go into concerted action in a preventive mode to control the latter? In both cases the media is having a hey day}

Thanks for the article, it was hilarious!

I just looked at the Wikipedia article for the G-20, and it said it consists of 19 of the countries with the largest economies and the EU. So it seems like they’re only counting 194 countries, not 195! I guess they’re using the U.S.’s counting ;)
