Lebanon's First Embassy in Syria

Lebanon has opened their first embassy in Syria since independence in 1943. The new embassy represents a warming of relations between Syria and Lebanon, which had been strained for decades. Last December, Syria opened their embassy in Lebanon. Neither country has appointed ambassadors but both plan on doing so in the future.
