The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has established the year 2015 as their goal to achieve a European Union-style trading group without barriers among the ten member countries. The ten member countries of ASEAN include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. There might be challenges with creating an ASEAN EU thanks to Myanmar's not-so-stellar human rights record.
