Their "Stop at Two" campaign is designed to be environmentally friendly to minimize the impact of population growth. Nonetheless, the United Kingdom's Total Fertility Rate is below replacement level at 1.9. The country's primary growth comes through immigration.

The present fertility rates are 180 degrees out of phase with the process of natural Evolution that brought us to being Homo sapiens. Now, the least able, unaided to nurture thier own children for survival, reproduce the most. Those who responsibly reproduce have to pay for the irresponsible.
The pattern whether within a country or world wide is the same: Those who should have the least number od cf childreen are having the most.
By man’s intervention we have turned Evolution on its head.
I believe it would be more correct to say: “By man’s LACK of intervention we have turned Evolution on its head.” I expect to see a major correction of this imbalance by Mother Nature within 20 years. Maybe 2012?
