Kyrgyzstan Kicks U.S.A. Out

Kyrgyzstan recently announced that the United States must close its military base in their country. The decision by Kyrgyzstan is likely based on pressure and support from Russia. The U.S. base provides crucial support for U.S. operations in Afghanistan and throughout Central Asia. As President Obama has promised increased troop levels in Afghanistan, the U.S. State Department and others are frantically searching for a new location among the "stans" of Central Asia for a U.S. military base.
