Water Wars

Follow me on:

An article in the TimesOnline looks at the availability of water in the world. The article also quotes a geographer who studied 8000 wars over the past 500 years and found that water rights were involved in far more wars than was previously thought.

I read the referenced article and many of the appended comments. While the already serious shortage of fresh water is very grim news I am actually encouraged by what I have just read.
Why? Because I have been harping that the main problem we have is too many people for many years. At last we now see article and comments openly acknowledging the population problem. There seem to be cracks in the taboo against even mentioning the population problem. Great.
