Rainforests

Amanda's latest article is an overview of the world's rainforests, those regions of the earth that are diverse in their flora and fauna thanks to abundant precipitation. The article also includes links to some great maps of rainforest regions of the world.

I was impressed with two rain forests, one 1,000 miles up the Amazon River,vic Manaus,and on the south coast of Puerto Rico. What I remember was the scarcity of animals. In the Puerto Rico forest I only saw slothes. In the Amazonia I encounted Piranhas. The aboriginese at the time would kill outsiders and got their protein from monkey flesh.
