Peat Bogs Could Add Carbon to Atmosphere

An article in the Harvard Crimson reports on a study that finds, "Temperature increases could destabilize carbon-rich northern peat bogs, resulting in a massive release of carbon and the acceleration of global warming trends." Thanks to Mathew N. who sent this in commenting from Canada that, "The thought is rather a happy one up here with Toronto already snowed in for the winter."
