Geography of Pirates

Recent hijackings by modern pirates in the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen have been receiving much attention worldwide. Now, there's a great site that allows you to track acts of piracy around the world - the Live Piracy Map. Note the very heavy concentrations along the east and west coasts of Africa along with South Asia.
