The U.S. Census Bureau has issued a report about mobility in the United States. They report that of the 38.7 million Americans who moved from 2006 to 2007, more than 65% remained in the same county, 19% moved to another county in the same state, over 12% moved to a different state, and 3% moved to the U.S. from another country. Of those coming from foreign lands, a whopping 93% moved to a metropolitan area.
