The seventh named storm of the 2008 Atlantic hurricane season is Hurricane Gustav. As of Thursday morning, Hurricane Gustav is just east of Jamaica. Gustav expected to head toward the Yucatan Channel between Cuba and Mexico and strengthen to Category Three by Monday as it makes its ways into the Gulf of Mexico. The current trajectory of Hurricane Gustav puts it right in the path of Southern Louisiana next Tuesday, a few days after the third anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Visit the National Hurricane Center or Weather Underground for the latest maps and information on Hurricane Gustav.
