A recent survey shows that a majority of citizens of Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Australia believe that China has or will soon replace the United States as the world's only superpower. Researchers agree on these findings and expect that China will soon attain the number one superpower status for the world. They report that a superpower attains its status by exceeding other countries in four areas: military, economic, political, and cultural. LiveScience.com has a lengthy story. What do you think? Take this poll and then post your comments below...

None of your answers fit what I think is the actual answer — China and the USA will be co-superpowers.
Quite agree with the previous commentor, the main languages used and seen widely presently are English and Chinese. Although, Spanish could also come in third since there are so many Latin countries and therefore many Spanish immigrants.
It is very clear that China will quite possibly surpass the US as the world’s #1 superpower. The recent growth of the Chinese language learning industry is a prime example of how people and governments are preparing themselves for that day. Just take a look at how many Chinese language learning ads are on this page.
Over the past few years, I have seen incredible growth and advancements in this area. In fact, HANBAN, the Chinese language learning governmental body in China has estimated an increase to over 100 million Chinese language learners by 2010. The current population hovers above 30 million learners today. Obviously, there are companies like Chinesepod.com, which has done an excellent job with viral marketing in this industry by creating situational language learning content via podcasts. More traditional methods like Rosetta Stone, which was known as a CD media/tape-style language learning method, has even taken their software online so it is more accessible to the global market with a focus on Mandarin Chinese.
There are even players like echineselearning.com, who have leveraged the power of free VOIP technologies like SYPE, MSN and Gtalk to administer live classes online. Some companies have adopted web-conferencing solutions like WizIQ, WebEx and Illuminate to deliver online courses, while others, like the company that I work for, Idapted Ltd., which recently launched StudioChinese.com, has actually created an on-demand e-learning solution specifically designed for Chinese language learning.
Regardless, I am not surprised that the majority of people that participated in this poll, see China surpassing or already believe that China has surpassed the US.

Glad to find this poll , I think China will be super power in future , and it may take China a long way to achieve the goal.
We can see that there are more than 30million Chinese learners overseas and 2 billions income brought by non-governmental education programs.
