The Washington Post has a nice article discussing the use of GPS by local law enforcement agencies to track suspects. Obviously, it's far more accurate and less expensive than stake-outs but civil rights groups are calling the use of GPS invasive and illegal. What do you think? Post your comments below!

You can chase your victim sitting home, in front of your PC !!!
“invasion of privacy”…”violation of civil rights”… waa waaa waaaa. Enough already. plain and simple, here’s the truth. – if you don’t do anything wrong, you got nothing to worry about. In fact, this kind of technology could save your butt from a wrongful conviction.
A white lady enters a taxi in Anchorage Alaska, and receives a phone call from someone claiming to be a taxi driver with her phone and she never heard from the individual a gain. She claimed to have taken the cab about 1:30 AM and the driver was a middle aged black male with an accent. The police used DDS dispatch tracker to charged and convicted an individual Case # 3AN-M08-3435CR. The phone had been dropped off at a dispatch company by somebody else and picked up by the taxi company which never showed up until the wrong person was convicted by five white jurors, one native, and one pacific Islander Guam. The convicted individual still do not know how to retrieve the phone legally from the taxi company. Gee. Wrongfully convicted in Alaska looking any help.
Tracking devices on normal citizens is a total invasion of privacy! I don’t want big brother knowing what I am doing and where I am going at any given time of the day.
