The New York Times tells the fascinating story of a dedicated group of people who tried to take huge chunks out of the states of Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana to form a new state called Absaroka.
If I thought I could endure that many days on horsebsck I’d love to take that cattle drive.
Many years ago I worked a job in Cody Wyoming. At Christmas time all the restaurants (not many) shut down for about 5 days. Although I had bought a bag of apples, a loaf of bread and a jar of peanut butter. I still wanted at least one real meal. So I drove to Billings Montana. It was an awesome and lovely drive. (Talk about being alone! saw not a soul the entire trip.) I had a good meal and then had a another lovely drive back to Cody.

I’m not completely sure if this is ridiculous or amazing. Chances are, it’s a little bit of both.
