i believe that the use of sky scrappers for residential purposes could be the answer to urban sprawl especially given the fact that food prices are ever rising. We need the peri urban land to produce more food for the world’s ever increasing urbanites.Thumbs up asian city planners . However i hope that the structures will stand up to the tasks in times of natural disasters such as earthquakes.
The problem is that American’s still want their famous dream, which tends to include a home with a yard. Having one’s own house with a bit of grass is a sign that you have arrived in life. It wouldn’t be easy to convince most Americans that they ought to live in a high-rise instead of suburbia.
Saudi’s are crazy to want a mile high tower!
