48 States in 106 Hours and 43 Minutes

Tuesday May 27, 2008
Three young men set out to break a record by visiting all of the 48 U.S. states on a incredibly fast road trip. They used maps to meticulously plot their route and while driving for the 106 hours and 43 minutes cross-country, used a GPS. The result was that from Sunday, May 4 through Thursday, May 8, the three traveled to every one of the 48 contiguous states. Visit their website for the map, blog, and time-lapse video. Thanks to Caitlin at GeoLounge for the tip on the trip!
