Cool Test. I enjoy them very much. Could we have them on more frequent bases?

Matt, we adore your quizzes and we want one everyday. But you can give after each question some more information about its answer, in this way, people like me can learn something new.

Re your quiz today – The Gambia is in Senegal?

(8) Randy says:
Your question regarding ‘more than one neighbour’ needs to be changed. Canada has several neighbours besides the USA. France (the isalnds of St. Pierre and Miquelon off the coast of Newfoundland) and Greenland (Denmark) are neighbours too.

I too thought Canada qualified as having more than one neighbor.

Don’t worry Matt, I was just a bit piqued that I got a couple of questions wrong!
I agree with Dinio that a link to further information would be an invaluable addition to the quiz. The quiz traps us, and makes us want to learn more, so that should be made easy.
Alan-yes, The Gambia is included entirely within Senegal (apart from its coast, I suppose). It quite literally owes its entire existence to the Gambia River, which is why it is such an odd shape, making it a good reflection of the European policies employed in the partition of Africa.
Re: Canada, doesn’t ‘neighbour’ almost invariably refer in these cases to directly touching neighbours?

(11) Dan says:
I would say that if the territorial waters are directly touching, that counts as a neighbor unless the question specifically defines otherwise.

Grr, only 47%… I reallyneed to study more for the Geography Bee if I’m ever supposed to make it to Nationals. Thanks though… I like it! Can they be a bit more frequent? Like I said, I need to study.

I know The Gambia well.
It is not landlocked.
The question needs re-wording.

Oh, right, sorry. I see what you mean…but I don’t agree that something needs to be totally enclosed to be ‘in’ something–if you hold something in your hand, it can be in contact with the air in places and still count as ‘in’ the hand.
