Americans Favor Canada and UK Most

A recent Gallup Poll found that Americans favor the countries of Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and Israel the most. On the other hand, Iran, North Korea, the Palestinian Authority, Iraq, and Afghanistan are the least favored. Unfortunately, the poll only ranked 22 countries (out of a possible 195).

Although I wonder how much the phrasing of the question had to do with the results. When asked “What do you think about each of these countries”, given Iraq and Afghanistan the average American will think about his country’s military involvement before thinking about their government policies, for example.
