China, concerned about a graying of its population, might decide to relax the requirements of its One Child Policy in favor of allowing families to sire additional children to improve productivity of future generations. Foreign Policy has the scoop. What do you think?

I don’t know… strikes me as ironic.
I believe they should continue with their one-child policy to ensure the their own demise–China does not deserve to be a world power.
Education and a shift in tradition to put more value girl babies would help to re-align the skewed male-female ratio in China. The population will reduce greatly in the next generation if there continue to be more boys being born than girls through selective abortions of girls. Globally we should all have a one child policy since the world cannot provide enough resources for everyone to live like a European or an American, but we have no right to dictate that others should go without while we stuff our bellies.
Its all about balancing act. Only little can done from us. Rest all taken care by our own creature. There is a positive sign for the better improvement of nation like China with one child policy, but one should not forget that life is also beautiful having own brother & sister for share & care. After all “Population burst is inevitable”. Arvind
And right next to this article are ads for overseas adoption of Chinese babies . . . HELLO? Am I missing something here? How do you enforce the one-child limit with divorces and couples who do not marry? Is that to say only the female can have one child but the male can have baby mama’s all over creation???
I don’t know why so many people even live there. It doesn’t make much sense to me. But I do know that if they keep the one-child there population won’t go down, because when someone dies someone else takes their place and life keeps coming up again. If it is ok with them to have the population go up it makes sense with all of their labor that they have. They don’t disurve it and they also will have more people to take away lives from. Makes more sense then it sounds.
While it sounds fascinating and a great opportunity for change, the cynical half of me thinks this is a ploy to get people to stop bugging them about human rights during the upcoming Olympics.
(On the other hand, North Korea has asked a rock musician to perform in Pyongyang, so… change is in the air!)
Yo pienso que la politica debe estar bien estructurada… Quizas en algun sentido existe cierta violacion a los derechos humanos… pero si se trata de mejorar la condicion del pais con la politica que han tenido, que la sigan manteniendo…
