A globe found in Adolf Hitler's Eagle Nest retreat in the Bavarian Alps by American soldier John Barsamian in May 1945 was sold at auction for $100,000 yesterday. This is the first globe of Hitler's that has been clearly documented as such. The globe was only expected to sell for $15,000 to $20,000.

That reminds me of the old Three Stooges short movie where they are dressed as Hitler, Hirohito, and Mussolini and they argue and fight over a Globe as if it were a basketball, throwing it back and forth.
All for Geography…
It sounds like that 3 Stooges was based on the old silent Charlie Chaplin scene.
I don’t watch Antiques Roadshow. I suppose they occasionally feature expensive globes like this, though I presume more treasured for age & artistry than former owners?
I wonder what his moral compass would go for.
Contrary to popular belief, Moe Howard and the other two Stooges paraodied Hitler a full nine months BEFORE Chaplin’s Great Dictator, and not only that, but the Stooges were much better at it. Chaplin’s Jewish barber was great, but Moe Howard’s Hailstone is better.
