The plan has come under fire as racial profiling but the police department defends the plan as an effort to identify extremist elements in the city. According to media reports, there are approximately half a million Muslims living in the greater Los Angeles area.

Now let me get this down so I can understand it. They want to map the Muslim communities, so they can keep track of them if needed. Now they want to do this to people who are citizens of this country, but they can’t or don’t want to track down all the illegal and deport them (I think the illegal are coasting us more then the Muslims are at the present time.
Something doesn’t smell right on this deal.
