New EU Report Will Criticize Turkey

A new report by the European Union, to be released on November 7, will be critical of Turkey's stance on civil rights, especially those of its non-Muslim minority. The report will not look good toward Turkey's pursuit of EU membership. Several EU member countries already strongly oppose Turkey's membership in the body. Without the opposition, Turkey could not join the EU any sooner than 2015.
