The U.S. State Department has started a new blog called Dipnote that chronicles the activities of the State Department in a less-official capacity than news briefings and press releases. Today's latest post is the interesting first-person account of a young female diplomat in Saudi Arabia, called An American Girl in Riyadh. It's worth reading!

I have read that Saudi Arabia keeps guards posted at Malls to keep out teenage boys, who are never allowed into Malls unless they are with or meeting a female family member.
