Reader's Digest has published an article where some writers analyzed and ranked most environmentally friendly countries by combining environmental value with quality of life and also ranked major cities on the planet. Their methodology might be a little suspect since I can't figure out how they only analyzed 141 countries or what their data from "two top sources" was. Their top five countries are 1) Finland, 2) Iceland, 3) Norway, 4) Sweden, and 5) Austria.

Oh isn’t this surprising, all scandinavian countries, where they have ahigh standard of living, natural wealth and cold mentality.
Jackie, you need to upgrade your geography knowledge. They are not all Scandinavian countries, nor do all of them have great natural wealth. And far from having a “cold mentality,” the financial and personal sacrifices the people of these countries have made to safeguard their populations from pollution show that they have a VERY warm mentality — to make personal sacrifices to make their environments safer for everyone. I’m horribly embarrassed by your ignorant comments. What “warm” country are YOU from?
Hmm…I think it has more to do with smaller populations. Less cultural diffusion, as well, (except for Austria)usually fosters a strong sense of community which is probably a factor behind the desire for those populations to be “green.” The governments have plenty of time on their hands to enable it to happen, since each State seems to be so stable.
This article reminds me of the Peters projection.
I envy the people in these five countries. Congratulations!
This only showns what kind of people they are: clean, environment loving, lover of God’s creation unlike Jackie.
