U.S. Wants A Piece of the Arctic Pie, Too

Things are hot this August. First it was Russia and their flag and then it was Denmark and Canada. Now, the United States is asserting its sovereignty over Arctic waters with a three-week tour by the United State Coast Guard Cutter Healy. The voyage begins today will map the Arctic sea floor north of Alaska. Perhaps it's all the heat of the geopolitical maneuverings that are causing the northern ice to melt? Reuters has the story.
