The New York Times has a lengthy article about a new proposed typeface for interstate highway signs. The new font, called Clearview, has been found to be easier to read in daylight and at night. With the population of older drivers increasing as the Baby Boom ages, highway visibility is becoming more important. The article contains a slideshow about highway sign fonts and examples of the Clearview typeface, which you're sure to enjoy!
