Inappropriate Birth Control Slogans Banned

By , About.com GuideAugust 10, 2007

Follow me on:

China has banned some inappropriate birth control promotional slogans, such as "One more baby means one more tomb" and "Raise fewer babies but more piggies," in favor of such slogans as "Mother earth is too tired to sustain more children" and "Both boys and girls are parents' hearts." This is an effort by the country's National Population and Family Planning Commission to reduce anger by citizens against the One Child Law and national population control efforts. More from the Associated Press.
