The U.S. Census Bureau has published its annual summary of fun Independence Day facts. The one piece of data that I found most fascinating was that of the $1.7 million worth of U.S. flags exported, Trinidad and Tobago leads the world in the import of U.S. flags, buying $661,498 worth (nearly 39%) of the U.S.'s flag exports. Of course, the U.S. imports $5.3 million worth of U.S. flags each year and a full $5 million of these imported flags were produced in China.
