Get Involved in the World of Microcredit

The United Nations declared 2005 to be the International Year of Microcredit and in 2006, leading microcreditor Grameen Bank and its founder Muhammad Yunus were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Micro-credit is the giving of small loans (also known as microloans) to small entrepreneurs. Now, the organization Kiva allows Internet users to help fund microloans directly to small businesspeople around the world. A fantastic concept; check it out!
