China's Car-Free Day

Next September 22, many Chinese cities, including Beijing and Shanghai will host a "car-free day" when cars will be banned from certain streets and public transportation will be encouraged in an effort to reduce Chinese reliance on the automobile. Last year, China became the world's second largest market for automobiles (following the United States).

China is one of the world’s largest polluters. Where are they kidding? Car free Day? It means nothing in that communist state.
