Pre-Katrina Images on Google Earth

Google took quite a bit of heat recently for replacing its post-Katrina imagery on Google Earth with pre-Katrina imagery. Some say that the old photos don't remotely represent the current state of the city and Google has responded that they are seeking to acquire new images of the Southern Louisiana region. The Official Google Blog has more. Hat tip to Caitlin at Geo Lounge.
